without getting registered you connot get you title deeds , you cannot work. you cannot operate a bussiness (apparently we have another dogdy bussiness operater on here) surley it isn't rocket science to to register in new country Its not very hard to do, the worst you have to to do wait, how hard can that be?

Hi all

I registered when I first came to Cyprus in 1991 - I got the old brown paper booklet with my photo stapled into it like some others !

Do I need to re-register or do anything else now - have the rules changed on entry to Europe?

Good Question: the back of your Alien Card states:

'This certificate is valid for ever'

but later explains how you can get an extension!!!! I dont intend to live that long LOL

I got one when I arrived in Nicosia, so its not just Paphos or Pafos (not Pathos, he was a muskateer)..

Its a requirement, but they cannot deny you one if you are from the EU...

Simple and not much hassle

You cant imagine what i have to go thru every year. I grew up here, i speak Greek fluently and with no accent. All my frieds are Cypriots...YET, once a year i have to be humiliated and wait in line together with prostitutes and some bloody gypsies and being asked silly questions.

Is not all that bad for you, just comply with extreme local burocracy and you'll be fine.
