Probably yes, I've always found the Italians to be very civilised. They always had a lot in common with the Greeks, if I recall my history correctly both Byzantium and Venice were founded by Italians following the fall of Rome. It's unlikely that Italy would have the same claim on Cyprus as Turkey purports to have today simply because of geography.

Jerry its a direct flight, i have personally taken it before and it lands to Ercan from London, as for the return, i have never come across so i cannot say, but i wouldn't be surprised if it did occur, and i truly dont see any reason why it shouldnt

secondly, the argument is not lost, just has been severely exploited over and over again and i seriously don't see much point in re-opening historical debates here, specially with you, because judging by your bigoted views, i can already see how reasonable it will proceed...!!!)

Absoulutely no need, observer has hit it on the head, partition has occured only thing is that people like you still after 33 years do not realize this. yes and now, WE are the bad guys and WE are the thieves, we mustn't be allowed to fly directly to our country, people shouldn't be making TV programs about moving to the TRNC, people shouldn't be putting any money into the TRNC just in case we develop, people should only refer to the TRNC with quotations! it all suits them very well when it comes to treating the other half of the island like dirt while ignoring the portion of history that doesnt suit them, but boasting around words like human rights and freedom and equality and compatriotism, at the same time?! come on man!...and then the guy turns around and says "its a lost argument and we should be facing the truth" , what truth? the Greek truth or the historical truth?
