Some of the adverts I have seen are misleading since they quote quicker flight times but fail to mention transfer times. I have complained to the Advertising Standards Authority about one such advert since it implies that it has cut the travel time down to the north by nearly two hours. Complaints can be made online. I am fairly confident that my complaint will be upheld, I have done this successfully before.

You sad sad sad person!
Why would you bother though? You sat there and calculated the times so you could save the holiday makers?
You said "they quote quicker flight times"....and
it is a quicker flight to Larnaca. Why would they mention the transfer times when they're advertising quicker flight times? I've seen the adverts you're on about, and they are not misleading because they
do get you to Cyprus quicker.
You have issues if you feel the need to complain about something so petty, you should get out more...
Sad, bloody cheek! sad is wasting thousands of man hours painting and illuminating mountainsides with flags. My wife says that people who post on these sites (including myself) are sad - you have more posts than me so what does that make you! Are you a mind reader? How do you know I sat here and calculated flight times? I happen to know that the usual flight time Heathrow/Larnaca is 4.5 hours and from Newcastle, Belfast, Glasgow its more like 5 hours. I used to be in advertising, I have always been against misleading ads, it's bad for consumers and bad for the industry.
Judge for yourself....

b] An Island Paradise that's closer than ever before..... beautiful North Cyprus[/b]
Until now, visiting the paradise island of North Cyprus has always meant over 6 hours of tedious flying time, often with annoying stop-overs on the way. Now for the first time in over 3 decades, North Cyprus has suddenly become much closer.... much much closer!
In fact, in just over 4 hours you can be transported, from the drudgery and stress of UK living to the serenity, tranquillity and charm of this unspoilt corner of the Mediterranean.
Paradise is closer - fly direct from: Gatwick, Luton, Manchester, Stansted, Heathrow, Bristol, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Belfast.
I have only left out the description of "North Cyprus"
The advert clearly implies that you can be in north Cyprus in "just over 4 hours". You can't, in "just over 4 hours" you have landed at Larnaca which is not in north Cyprus [/b]
