Lena, you have to know, when there are number of vips, plural, are around, or change of shifts, then mistakes such as loss of memory and incomprehension are bound to happen

THE EUROPEAN CENTRAL BANK

Dear Sirs,

THE PROPOSED EURO COINS OF THE REPUBLIC OF CYPRUS

I am a Greek Cypriot citizen, and would like to inform you that I strongly reject the images proposed by the Republic of Cyprus for the 1 and 2 Euro coins. The reason is because the idols show an image of a human which on first glance seems to wear a necklace with a Christian Cross. This is a direct provocation to the muslim Turkish Cypriot citizens of the Republic, a violation of their rights under the constitution, and disrespect towards their relegion.

The images are shown here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cypriot_euro_coins

Notice the Republic of Cyprus avoids to show these images in their official Web Site here:
http://www.euro.cy/euro/euro.nsf/dmlcoi ... enDocument
(It only shows the back sides- I wonder why?)

I believe the European Cental Bank should reject those 2 proposed images as been provocative and non neutral.

Thanking you for your consideration I remain,

I hope that you are jocking, arent u? Pomos is a is a prehistoric sculpture, the cross is a pagan symbol

No I am not joking AT ALL. I even gave the E-mail address previously for everybody to use it if he likes.
The e-mail is
[email protected]

Listen European, I want tre-unification of MY COUNTRY I demand respect for me, the same way I DEMAND RESPECT for others. These others in this case are the TCs.

And i don't care what kind of symbol that is as long as I need a microscope to see it. With bare eye it is A Christian Cross, and I am not going to send missionaries all over the world to explain every person who sees it that "no it is not a cross, it is something else"

This aint a christian cross, it is a PREHOSTORIC sculpture, it is not A CHRISTIAN artfact.

you objecting to them being nice to each other? Does it offend you because it is not dealing with the realities on the ground? We should be dicussing an orderly partition rather than being all chummy chummy with each other.

This forum is not contributing to steps of unification so people might as well make some friends out of it at least.

I agree they can be chummy all they wish I was just pointing out that a dose of the island reality at first hand would see all these chummy people with a totally different viewpoint.

WE have more or less established,DT, that the multitude of Viewpoints posting in this and other forums are the mouthpieces of the TRNC official policy.I believe there are at least 3 of them whose job is to propogate their government's policies regarding a final solution. At the moment the strongest message they want to give is,"GCs do not want to live with the TCs,they said NO to the Annanplan which proves that they are only interested in assimilating the TCs by Osmosis in a Unitary state, hence reducing TCs to a position of a helpless minority"... This is what they see as "the reality on the ground",and any move on individuals' part in these forums to challenge that accepted wisdom is a threat to Viewpoints' raison d'etre, hence must be ridiculed and dismissed...
