TRNC Pigeon epidemic and Declining TC numbers!..

Postby BirKibrisli » Sun Feb 18, 2007 3:35 pm

Finally irrebutable proof that the settlers now outnumber TCs in the TRNC.
One of the delicacies of TC cuisine is pigeon meat, especially young pigeons.Every child with a catapult and every man with a shotgun was out shooting pigeons in the good old days of my childhood in Cyprus. The pigeons such shot would end up in the pot or the frying pan,to accompany the makaroni or pilaf dishes for the kids and the women, and the meze plate for the drinking men...

Well, there are reports that there is now a pigeon epidemic in the TRN.The number of pigeons have reached environmentally dangerous proportions...
The secret to this is that the settlers do not eat pigeon. As they are more religious than the TCs,they believe it is sinful to eat pigeons because pigeons supposedly saved Muhammet's life when he was fleeing Mecca for his life.

What more proof do we need that TCs are now a minority in the TRNC,the pariah state we call our own...? :D

Having travelled over the Northern areas of Cyprus, I think the 'settler' position is obvious, they outnumber the Turksh Cypriot population enormously and it is visible everywhere.

I don't think it is quite fair to continually berate the settlers, they are probably seeking to improve their lives and cannot be blamed for that.

The position once again illustrates the fact that the politicians are really unconcerned as to how the communities react to each other, the ultimate aims will be kept from us all, the more disharmony that exists, the easier it is for them to mould the people to suit their objectives. (my opinion).

I totally agree with your comments Eliko and would like to ad that we need to be respectful to also these human beings because they have been used by Turkey to meet her objectives, to this end not only Greek Cypriots ought to have respect and understanding and compassion, in relation to the fate of settlers but also, the Turkish Cypriots who may believe that they are elite to the settler citizens of the occupied area of Cyprus.

The thing I find most disturbing about the majority of these discussions, is the constant references made to the quotes and opinions of politicians.

Given that we all know their track records and see the results of their efforts almost daily.

Considering that there is almost no place on earth where peace exists, nor any population that can truly state that their lives are without anxiety and stress.

Is it not apparent that something is seriously wrong with world government policies ?.

If people could only voice their feelings, rather than the opinions of those that influence theirs, future generations might be able to rectify the damage done to the world by our generation.

A good starting point would be to observe the behaviour of young children at play, strange how readily they engage with each other, particularly if they are of different races, I have noted such behaviour in many lands and can only hope that one day, those children will be able to remember their childhood attributes, we surely have all forgotten ours.

miltiades, if what you say is true and you remember the attributes you had as a child, how can you justify the murderous slaughter of innocents in Iraq, (which you have done severally) ?.

Are you sure you are not a politician?, you sound like one Sir.

How dare you question my integrity , and how on earth do you arrive at the conclusion that I justify the daily murders of innocents by the savages that call them selves martyrs . You astounded before with your immature crap and here you go again .
The systematic targeting of innocents is carried out by the scumbags the lowest of the lowest primitive human , the human garbage who indiscriminently murder their own people. These bastards are sub human and those supporting them are an accessory to cold blooded murder.

Thank you for your latest retort miltiades, what, I wonder, is your opinion of those that sowed the seeds to all this indiscriminate slaughter?, I seem to remember that it was an indiscriminate bombardment of innocent women and children which ignited the flames of resistance now apparent, how say you Sir?. :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
