Oh YES !, aerial bombardment, I suppose you have experienced such an event (in a small way), as you dish up your sausages, it does illustrate the helplessness of the recipient wouldn't you agree?.

"""""which ignited the flames of resistance now apparent, how say you Sir?. """
The flames of what ? Are you all there or are you a half wit. What bloody resistance are you on about , the market bombings ?? Wake up , remove your head from your arse and concentrate on your birds.

miltiades, so sorry, I thought all the troubles now apparent in Iraq were the result of the barbaric aerial attack by your American friends, I formed that opinion since there did not appear to be so much strife in the country PRIOR to the murderous and cowardly onslaught of the American forces, it would appear you know different, please explain Sir, I am eager to learn. :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Eliko for F..S SAKE , 60 innocent Iraqis were massacred today and 100s injured in an open market selling second hand goods in Baghdad.
These sub human savages are not thriliki antartes , heroes or resistance bloody fighters , they are murdering savages who kill and maim indiscriminately. Do you have any compassion for their innocent victims ? I will not respond to any more of your pathetic and naive posts on this subject. I suggested earlier that you are an educated individual , I'm now convinced that you have a sponge brain unable to comprehend beyond the length of your nose.Prior to America invading Iraq , your heroes massacred thousands of Shiites , not forgetting the two son in laws of your other hero. Wake up man and get your head out of your arse for the last time before you find your self suffocating in your own excrament. You talk rubbish and you deserve to be told so .

Can someone tell me...Is pigeon meat a delicacy in GC cuisine as well?
Or is it (was it) just a peculiarity of TCs??? :)

I made a big mistake about 8 months in New Zealand and told a Kiwi in that I own a shot gun and regularly go pigeon shooting, and that (wood)pigeon is one of my favourate dishes.I got the bollocking of my life.
How was I supposed to know that the New Zealand pigeon is sacred and protected. If he only knew I thought to myself.

I have a picture of one wich I took in Marlborough but unfortunately I don't know how to attach it.It is a very beautifull bird.Google it up and see for yourselves.

Bir, I use to shoot not only pigeons but sparrows with my Catapult, but not in Cyprus only.....but in London.

I think Sparrows were more of a delicacy than Pigeons, in the good old days.

I even hit a Sparrow with a "free throw" by hand.

Damn, I should have become a Pitcher for the Yankees Baseball Team.

Today it is a delicacy enjoyed only in taverns. They serve then cooked on grill or turned soured in vinegar.
I don't know of any family eating pigeons at home anymore. You cannot find them readily available in supermarkets either. But if you care to pre-order at the supermarket they do supply you.

It seems mass production of pigeons in farms is not a profitable bussiness today. Funny thing they have farms raising quails though.
