Property Management

Postby cyprusoon » Sat Feb 17, 2007 6:14 pm

We are moving over to Cyprus in the near future and intend to set up a property maintenance/management service. We are aiming at the holiday rentals market in the Limassol area.

We would provide a quality property cleaning/maintenance/pool cleaning/garden maintenance service for property owned by by people who live in the UK and wish to rent out their property for holiday rentals. We could also include services such as airport collections if necessary.

We have alot of first hand experience with the holiday rentals market as we have had our own holiday apartment and then villa for the last 5 years, we found it difficult to find someone that we could completely rely on to look after our property properly and take on day to day maintenance such as problems with plumbing and electrics. We realise that there is a need for a service that would be completely reliable taking on the management of your property and giving you peace of mind that all is well with your property and that it is being well looked after and to let you know if there are any problems that need sorting.

If am just doing some background research at the moment to see if there is any interest for this sort of service in the Limassol area. If anyone is looking for someone to take on caring for their property I would be grateful for any feedback.

Why Limassol?

Good idea but you might be better off offering this service in somewhere like Paphos perhaps where there are more apartments/villas. Limassol is not really that touristy compared to Paphos.

Our villa was in the Limassol area and there are alot of holiday homes being built at the moment. We found there to be a lack of people who could provide such a service. Having said that we are flexible as to the area as we have not decided 100% as to where we would relocate it depends on the response I get!

Perhaps because the main place in Cyprus where people have holiday homes is in Paphos and around Ayia Napa?

How much would you be looking at charging per month?

We have just started out offering this type of service in Limassol.

Prices can be monthly or, individually tailored to suit the property owners requirements as everyone's needs are different.

We offer everything from airport collection, welcome pack, arrival/departure cleaning of the property, laundry and linen changes, garden & pool maintenance etc...

Some owners may not require all of the services, which is why we offer the choice of separate prices or a monthly retainer fee.

If anyone wants more information, please contact me directly be email.

air port collections are causing big problems at paphos airport as the registered taxi drivers have started to attack people like yourselves who are offering this service to their clients!!! be very careful that you are also fully insured as there have been some horror stories of people doing what you are suggesting who have no insurance.

I've heard about the taxi drivers causing trouble but what exactly are the "horror stories" you refer to?

If this is true this is disgusting, an absolutle disgrace. Healthy competition doesnt harm anybody. Taxi drivers make enough money with trips in and around Paphos anyway, which property management like this would not effect their bread and butter income would it. They also charge enough from airport to Paphos.

Do you have any evidence to back it up?

i think you miss understood my reply with regard to the burglary1I AM NOT SUGGESTING IT WAS THE TAXI DRIVERS,THIS REPLY WAS REGARDING THEIR NEED TO HAVE INSURANCE IN PLACE IF THEY ARE GOING TO SET UP THEIR BUSSINESS.
