You need a hosting account and maybe a domain name. There are some places that offer free hosting with a sub domain but most of them come with ads. Do you know about things like FTP?

I used a free hosting account with Bravenet a few years ago and bought a domain name with a UK company called Easily for 2yrs. The cost for the domain name was around £20.

Once I had this, they offered a redirecting of the site to the .co.uk address with the domain name instead of the odd hosting name with Bravenet. Then, I used a lot of the free submit engines available on the internet.

It was relatively simple to do and this was my very first attempt using a free website builder. Later, I rebuilt the whole site again using Microsoft Frontpage. A little more difficult but simple enough once I got to grips with it.

For a simple webpage - use a Free website builder like Moonfruit.com which gives linked ads supplied by Google in accordance with the type of webpage you have.

jody, it is not hard to do it yourself. If you learn how to do it then you will be able to update your site whenever you want. Where did you register the domain and where did you buy hosting and what package did you buy?

Jody
Sotos is right - there is no need to pay anyone to do this :D

There is a very good "walkthrough" here

You need to be a member to view this, but it will tell you, step by step, everything you need to do.
