What is so bad about being a preacher?

Bananiot for me is just a preacher. He usually throws some monologues in the forum and if you try to get into a point by point discussion with him he will divert to other preachings, to vague statements, irrelevant answers, paradoxes etc. Just look at his post Tue Aug 02, 2005 6: 39 pm and tell me what’s the relevance of what he said with the part he is presumably answering. Zip, just another preaching.

This is what I wrote on this infamous day of August 2 2005, at 6:39 pm, if you please

I said enough is enough but it seems I need to step in again. Piratis said:

Quote:
The accusations against Papadopoulos have nothing to do with reality. Do you think that if Papadopoulos was collaborating with DISI to elect Cleredes that Bananiot etc would take the job of throwing mud at him every day?

Because some people decided to put mud on our president does this means he is guilty? If they have evidence that he made crimes then why they didn't take him to the court all this time?

Papadopoulos has been accused of being "Defkalion" ie the person who gave the green light for the execution of AKEL members and sympathisers during the EOKA period in Mesaoria and Karpas area. Eleven people fell to the bullets of EOKA from January to August in 1958. Defkalion, writing in "Egertirion Salpisma" said that the "executed got what was coming to them for the silver they collected for their treachery". He also wrote many things which if you read them will make your stomach turn inside out. Copies of the magazine "Egertrion Salpisma" can be found at the PIO and also at the offices of the "Association of EOKA Fighters".

AKEL has been calling for decades for light to be shed on the circumstances under which the crimes were committed. Recently, the issue was again on the agenda. Papadopoulos, initially seemed to be susceptive to the new call. Then he came up with this gem:

"I call upon the individual conscience of each EOKA area leader or executioner to restore the memory of any person that was wrongly accused and executed for treason. The people that know the facts have a duty to restore reality so that those which are wrongly accused will no longer live with the stigma of the traitor".

The area leaders of EOKA have on many occasions refused to do what Papadopoulos asked them to do. Papadopoulos knows this. He also knows that they refused to badge an inch even when their own are concerned, like Stephanides, the son of a priest and an EOKA fighter, who was also executed by EOKA for alleged treason. Yet, he makes a proposition that he knows that it has zero chance of being accepted. In this way he washes he hands and says to the unsuspecting ordinary AKEL members that, look, I want but they do not want. What else can I do?

That was a response on MicAtCyp's argument that if Papadopoulos was collaborating with DISI to elect Clerides I would not take the job of throwing mud at him every day.

So, first he makes a ruling that my job is to throw mud at Papadopoulos everyday and then he declares that if Papadopoulos had helped to elect Klerides I would cherish him for the rest of my life. He then expects everyone to sing to his tune. He can take this attitude and do whatever he likes with it but selling it here he will find very few willing customers.

To believe that every single person shapes his ideas according to how best his interests are fulfilled is pathetic and inhuman, it simply takes the fun out of living, it's like adhering permanently to the "selfish gene" theory. It makes a person dull and miserable. Anorgasmic and pathetic.

I think the denktas era speaks for itself and we are all aware the damage he created over the years its just a shame that we got rid of him and then tassos came along, the new improved denktas model.

This is blatant plagiarism. He is stealing my spiritual child. I appeal to the God of the dull for mercy.

look piratis the enemy is happy with our president. he is working for their interests

Sorry I disagree 100%. The Annan plan was created by our enemies to serve themselves, and Papadopoulos rejected it. This is why they don't like him, because he had the balls to stand for our rights.

i was in general in favor of no but the more i was listening to all that nationalism through cypriot channels i just wanted to vote against them.
in any case , i would be embarrased to be on the same side with the guys who hit the tc yesterday. ofcource they are not fascist. the voted no.

So basically the reasons that you are in favor of "yes" have nothing to do with the plan itself. Not a very mature way to take a decision for such a crucial matter.
And why by voting "no" you would be on the same side with those that hit the tc guy? If those guys also like apples this would mean you would not eat apples so you wouldn't be on the same side with them?
The vote in the referendum has absolutely nothing to do with that event.

i was shocked when i found out that the tc used the veto power only once

Will you be shocked to find out that the 18% of TCs were given the 30%(!!!) of govermental jobs and because the government could not hire so many TCs they kept blocking the budget in the parliament. This was the begining of the problems actually.

yes i believe the racist is correct. throughout the administration of the RoC the picture of the TC appointed/elected officals are those of lost foreign exchange students not know what exactly is going. of course i am sure there were a few (probably Kucuk as well) who had a few tricks up their sleeves to be played along with Turkey.

One reason that the budget was vetoed was that TCs didn't get that 30% positions in the government. Now maybe they used the veto for other reasons also. Since they had this power it is obvious that they would force deadlocks wherever possible since partition was their aim all along.
