The law that was passed in 2006, to make it a crime to purchase GC property in the "TRNC", is that retro active to 1974 or only since 2006.??

I think this is a good thing - put people off buying in the North.

Every time I see a UK programme about buying in the North now there is a big disclaimer saying that people should not buy properties there.

I can't confirm that right now, I can look into it tho.

In the cases so far (the Russian and Israeli) the properties were bought in Nov. 2006 and February 2007.
