Hi Stuart
Nice to hear from you again.Hows baby hannah and Jo doing?

Sorry to hear about little Louis, has he been at the playschool long?maybe settle in later, hope he does.

Weather ok at mo isn't it but when we 1st got here at beginning of Jan it was cold.Mind you not as cold as Germany.

We got a flight over stayed in rented place till we found this house, anyway hubbie went back to germany as our truck was there he then drove it back to here.Had a bit of a nightmare though because when he got to Greece he couldn't get on the ferry with the pickup he had to get a flight from Athens and then picked the truck up from Limassol 2 days later.Anyway we are all here and settling in nice.Seems really quiet in the mornings as the 3 kidz are at school so early.Have to get myself a little job to keep me busy, otherwise im gonna bore everyone on here with all my postings!!!!!

Take care speak soon

Thats so great - must be a relief they're happy. At least the children finish school early so you can have time with them.

Hi Jody

How old are your children and have they found it difficult going to a Greek school: We are also thinking of moving to Cyprus but my girls are 7,8 and 11 and I was thinking of putting them in a private school but then we have to take the cost of private shools into consideration which is quite costly.

Hi there to the walker family,my little ones are 3,5,and 7 years. They love the village school, i think it was me worrying more then the children. We looked into the private English schools but like you say its the cost,so expensive.

They have dropped a year,my eldest boy was in year 3 but now year 2,my middle girl who was 5 in dec just started school last sept, but now is back at pre-school and my 3 year old is also at a pre-school.They don't start school until the term after their 6th birthday anyway, also as they couldn't speak any greek when they started i didn't mind them dropping a year. They have settled in really well and made new friends.

They do believe in giving loads of homework,my son has homework everyday which has to be in the following day. There are other children at the school which are english, different ages and them seem settled.

What part of Cyprus are you thinking of moving to?we live near Larnaca, only been here since the start of jan and love it,settled in well.We lived here 10 years ago for just over 2 years (husbands job) and always said that we would settle here.

We wanted a better life for the children and also for us,all this what is happening on the news lately with the shootings up london, def not gonna move back,we lived in Germany b4 here, which was nice, such a clean country.

Anyway all the best.Take care

Hi Jody

What you doing for a living over there? We would love to move over but working over would be a worry. We are about the same age - so what do you intend to do? (unless you have a sugar daddy! :) )

Fair play to you, good luck!

Cheers

Hi there simon

I am married to a 94 year old wrinkled millionaire man!!!!oooh no thanx just kidding.!!!! My husband has started up his own business in fishing, biking and hiking.I am going to get myself a little job,but has to be in the mornings when our little kinders are at school.Have you any little ones? What type of work do you do?

Anyway times only 7:25am and already the sun is beaming through the curtains, still not warm but nice, after coming from the cold winters in Germany it's lovely.Germany was a lovely country, really clean.

Anyway take care

Hi Jody

Like your reply to Simon about the old wrinkled millionaire, made me laugh.

My parents live in Pyla and I have an Aunty in Orokolini so we were looking to move around that area and be within walking distance from the beach for the girls. However, we do have a villa which has been built at Secret Valley near Paphos so it is an option to move there (we did purchase for investment to re-sell before completion but we feel the prices will increase a lot more when the development is completed so would like to keep hold of it).

Did you look into the cost of your children going to private schools; I have not looked into it fully but have been told they cost around £3,000 per year per child.

Like you we are thinking of a better way of life for the girls but it is the walking away from 2 regular incomes and starting a new business which is the scary part; however, you only live once and if we do our homework and have a back up plan we should be fine, just waiting for our house to sell to start making arrangements.
