Only 1 rose? He's not worth it, anything less than 12 red roses is just not good enough! :P

i wish all men thought like you do

Bambina...why his love should be counted on how many roses he bought for you? Or if it was a rose or a diamond???

i am talking about romance in this case, isnt it great to get roses for a valentines's from the one you love? i am not talking about having roses every day or about leaving your man if he never bought you a dimond 8)

We are talking about the same thing bambina...but why you have to count them? One its enough for me if its offered with love, a hug, a kiss...his love! I know what you mean...I am woman...if you didnt notice that on my name...my brother used to offer to his girlfriend a rose every time that he was going to see her...for 2,5 years...presents expensive ones....every now and then...with out any reason...and when it was a reason...the only thing that he didnt offer was just the sky with all the stars to her....but he took her several times to the most expensive hotels near the beach...having dinner under the stars...a bottle of wine and a basket with fruits for a picnic in the beach ....etc....I know what you mean....I do lots of crazy and romantic things too when i am in love....but....when you hear all this and you have only a rose or not even a rose....you are sad...i know...my friend was dating with a bloke that took her a rose on valentines day and he said that he had a wedding (he was photographer) so he was able to got it for her from there...imagine!!! But still I learn that gifts are not what should really matter...a dinner with terrible food in his place that he cooked it as simple as it could, with a cost not more than £10 and a kiss but from a guy that really love me and care about me was going to count more in my heard than a bloke that took me to a fancy restaurant with an expensive present but he cared about his expensive car than me....Did you get my point now???

Have you got a card? Mine cost me £4 UK. Just to get looked at then put on the side. I should dig out last years card and give that one to her. She wouldn't be able to tell anyway!!!

Don't you believe it, us girls have good memories.

I do have tip for you though, I was talking with someone at work today and she and her husband kept three years worth of cards, then each year instead of buying one, they give each other one of the previous ones. We all thought that was a bit mean, but she seemed happy because she said it was a surprise each year as she didn't know which one she would be getting  I know I shouldn't really encourage you!

When I got into the car this morning in my footwell was a lovely card and pressie, a necklace and earings which are beautiful. Unfortunately he is working tonight so I will wear my pressie and watch the Brits, and pig out on chocolate!

Happy Valentines Day everyone

deedeepuss, in the words of Ebeneezer Scrooge, "Bah, Humbug!", I received a lovely valentines card today, my 'itinerary' for the next three months, off to Indonesia for 3 weeks, Africa for 1 week, back to Cyprus for a few days then off to Europe for up to 8 weeks, probably commencing next week.

I had hoped for a longer stay here but things change dramatically in my profession and one never knows what is coming next.

Happy Valentine's Day to you, enjoy your chocs (and my spaghetti)
