1936 Hillman Minx 1200 cc side-valve engine running at peak 3500 rpm. Top speed 55 mph. Wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding, but if I still had it, I'd be rich!

First motorised vehicle: 1932 BSA 250 cc bike: gear shift by hand lever on tank!

1957 Lambretta LD150, 1958 BSA 500 Shooting Star, 1957 Ford Consul Mk11 Convertible, 1955 Triumph 500 5T, 1958 Ford Consul Mk11 hardtop, then all kinds of rubbish. Haven't owned a car now since about 1997, but will have to have one in Cyprus as our house is a long way from town or public transport.
