Thank you, everybody. Decision made - it gets left behind. I hope I can persuade whoever buys the house to keep it (and most of the rest of the furniture). Have you seen what Councils charge for removing stuff these days?

Make it a condition of sale - the house is partly furnished. It then becomes the buyer's problem. However, if the FF is in good condition try advertising on your local supermarket noticeboard.
