Direct flights - 7000 in favour and only 300 against

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Direct flights - 7000 in favour and only 300 against

Postby tessintrnc » Sat Feb 10, 2007 10:23 am

Seems like more and more people are looking to support the lifting of flight restrictions so that anyone can fly non-stop to the TRNC. Lets hope the powers that be take note and allow non stop flights as a much needed boost for the tourist industry!! Interestingly only 300 people seem to have signed the "against" petition!! (figures are in the Cyprus today Newspaper).

You just don't get it do you. There are International covenants covering International flights , such rules and regulations enacted by the International Aviation Authorities and regulatory bodies demand that flights into or out of the Internationally recognised Air spaces must have the approval of the Government of that Country.Since the "TRNC" does not exist as far as the International communities are concerned , and since the entire area of the "RTNC " is considered an integral part of the ROC, not under its control , any direct flights to Northern Cyprus must have the approval of the recognised government of Cyprus.

Taiwan situation "occured" from totally different circumstances, and as such the comparison with "TRNC" is totally misinformed and to be honest inaccurate. Suggest you read the following :

VP , you live in a fantasy world , the type of imaginary world that you can re construct at any time in order to satisfy your insatiable appetite for creating a permanent division of our island. And there is not one iota of similarity between the unrecognized state you call "TRNC " and Taiwan .
Direct flights will exist in your make belief world , or until we unite our island.

Whats the result??? an unrecognized state which functions pretty much along the same lines as a recognized one with all the advantages.

So you have nothing to worry about if its just my fantasy or have you? (The EU dont seem to agree with you but hey who are they least trusted body in the north the EU) We will not give up and continue to tell the world of the imbalance and isolation which exsists within the EU which supposedly champions human rights and eqaulity.

Here you go again , human rights and equality. You do not understand one thing VP. Cyprus , all of Cyprus belongs to you and to me . I'm not happy with a divided island , and I'm not happy that T/Cs are not enjoying all that they should , the reason because our island is divided. The 200 thousand Cypriots whose land has been taken from them are not happy either. I want the T/Cs to enjoy all of Cyprus and visa verse. What is wrong by wanting this .

Take the time off Miltiades, you are a wealthy man and can afford to go to the Eurovision song contest and protest against that song that does not represent the all the Cypriots. Words are cheep we need action.
