Direct flights - 7000 in favour and only 300 against

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

It’s quite normal to have this vision. In fact many of the TC veterans here had that vision from 5 years ago and still do, although it’s gone a little fuzzy these days much like the “TRNC” economy… :?

I will not divulge how I know. We shall see.
The real issue is why are GCs so afraid of direct flights?

We're not afraid of direct flights ... we use them all the time!

BTW ... do Turks know how to fly planes, without dropping bombs as they go? :?

Why don't you go and stand on Ercan runway as the planes come in to land and find out for yourself?

I guess you wouldn't know about that peccadilloe of theirs ..... since you buggered off the Island as soon as it gained Independence.

You are right. No to all three.

We can only live in peace with equal rights. But not within the constitution of 1960.

All the rejectionists in the north said Talat will sell out. He is doing a fine job. He has foxed all the rejectionist in the south. They just don't know how to derail this process as they lost their biggest ally. But if they manage either during the negotiations or during the vote to derail this time too, I am not sure who will loose most. I suspect GC’s will loose more in the long run. We will also loose until free trade with the EU becomes a reality. That it will become a reality, I am sure. When, hopefully by the end of this year, who knows?

Spoke to someone at Cyprus Turkish Airlines last year about this. Its never going the happen and CTA are not pushing it. I'd worry about there being an airline on both sides of the divide. Both CTA and Cyprus Airways are over subscribed with personnal. Considering tourism in Cyprus is going tits up, there are bigger concerns.

Keeping people in work Humanist and considering Fuel rises, tourism activity declining, bad man management, union issues, pilots striking, the so called credit crunch.

Our flights may be longer but they are cheaper and safer all year round.

And we don’t go round beating 15 year old girls for winning a match either.
Fancy that.
