Direct flights - 7000 in favour and only 300 against

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Kikapu » Sun Feb 11, 2007 4:45 pm

I just need a little clarification here.

a) There are 290,000 Turkish speaking people in the "TRNC".
b) At least 100,000 Turkish Cypriots in the UK.
c) 70 Million Turks in Turkey, who would like to see the "TRNC" to be self reliant economically.

So, out of all those Turkish speaking people, we can only muster 7,000 votes. :?: :?: :?:

I think all those Partitionist should think twice, as to how much support they really have, to create two countries within island of CYPRUS:

I suppose then that 300 is a relevent representaio of the opposition.

Take the time off Miltiades, you are a wealthy man and can afford to go to the Eurovision song contest and protest against that song that does not represent the all the Cypriots. Words are cheep we need action.

WHy would you want Miltiades to do that Zan? What kind of action do you expect from miltiades...unifying action? What for? You're against unification remember? WHy do you and VP continuosly insist on accussing everyone of not doing anything for unification and you have no issues saying you're both against unification in the same breath??? :?

Point scoring point scoring point scoring. Thats all it is.

Putting his money where his mouth is point scoring????

By the way I have gone down on record many times about being fine with unification if the conditions are right. It is a great misrepresentation of what I have stated many times if you and others concentrate on the fact that I have said also that I believe the present situation warrants partition. If Militiades or any one else for that matter want to pursue the unification path then they must do something to change the wrongs of the RoC. They have admitted to these wrongs on many occasions but are asking us to forget them. There is no short cut to the solution. I am doing my bit to change the minds and attitudes of the RoC that says it represents me why aren't they. They can always come out and say they were lying all along about stating the wrongs of the RoC and give them their full support and then at least we can all know where we stand. Show us your true colours or fight with your convictions. You cannot have both.

I was waiting to see who was going to be the first to point out the 300 count. Actually, it's 301.."simonwjones" came in with a late vote.

Yes Zan, it is very relevant. Only 7,000 for and 301 against bothered to vote, out of 6 Billion.

So where is the support for the Partition that you and "Virgin Princess" claim, to speak for most TC's for such actions.

Where are all those TC's that are wanting to "level the playing field".?

As for the 301 against, goes to show, the rest of the world does not even take our cause seriously, to even have bothered to vote.

Ever thought about that. :?:

Exactly the point Kiks. The world that knows about us has just about had enough. But it does go to show that there are 7000 politically active supporters that obviously outnumber the 300. Besides the fact that there is a great lack of Internet access in the north might explain.

Yes Zan, lets twist the results to mean what we what them to mean.

How do we know that the world is fed up with our cause or not.? And if you are correct and we cannot muster more than 7,000 votes, than we really are in trouble. Don't you think. :?:

Yes, I too cannot wait until many more TC's are on-line in the "TRNC" to tell us what they also want for their Cyprus to become, rather than the 18 Hours a day propaganda by the "Virgin Princess". But put that aside for the moment and tell me where in the world was the support for the direct flights from the 100,000 TC's in the UK. They don't have a problem not being on-line, are they. :?:

After all, if anyone was going to benefit from the direct flights from the UK to the "TRNC", was going to be the TC's who live there. :!:

I am thinking of paying for an Internet point to be put in all the villages in the north for a day so that all the TCs can have a vote and prove you wrong.....expensive but might be worth it.....What do you think.
