Turkey WAS ESTABLISHED on the genocides committed by the Young Turks of ATATURK. In case you can't see the difference between todays Italy and the Roman Empire, and todays Turkey and what the Young Turks did, then you are beyond help.

WHAT!.....Hahahahahahaha

The Empire was being attacked from all sides and out of all that chaos a country was born and you interpret it as the fault of the Turks. What a real idiot you are. Turkey was formed from the shrinking of an Empire not the expansionist efforts of the Hellenic one. What a doughnut ...clutching at straws and false accusations again.

I was always told that the Armenians backstabbed Turkey and saw the war as an oppertunity to take parts of the country while Turkey was busy fighting off others, hence the reason they got savaged. I dont understand why Turks would turn against these people with whom they had lived peacefully with for so long unless they were provoked, especially at a time of war. Doesnt really make much sense to me.

As for the Cyprus issue, regardless of the fact there were no killings of TC's, the fact remains the Junta made Sampson president 5 days prior to the invasion. Even if there was no killings upto that point Sampson becoming president surely was the beggining of the end for the TCs. Juntas main goal was Enosis, Sampson was a EOKA fighter who wanted Turks dead. I seriously cant think of any other reason they would make this man president.

The Ottoman empire WAS NOT Turkey idiot. The empire collapsed (yes mainly because of the Greeks, thank you) and former enslaved countries were getting liberated. Some fascists who called themselves Young Turks decided they needed a Country, they called that Turkey, and started slaughtering people.

This is how the Armenian genocide occurred.

Yeah I understand where youre coming from karma. Its just to me it seems people dont understand or think about the circumstances the TCs were facing.
What kind of human rights were there for the TC people when a racist facist who wanted them dead became president? After all that had happened, with all the intercommunal violence and all the death suffered by both parties. What possibility could there of been for these communities to get along peacefully and trust eachother after all that curruption? In my opinion it would of just carried on and on. Too much damage had been done. The intentions of the Junta were clear and I just cant understand how they could of been so stupid to provoke Turkish people (of all people) in such a way without expecting them to retaliate. I agree they were harsh in their actions but considering the already huge tention between Greece and Turkey I can just imagine what a travesty and insult the Turks saw Sampson becoming president as.
