Supermarkets

Postby Sunshine01 » Fri Feb 09, 2007 11:16 am

I've seen somewhere that there are 2 or 3 large supermarkets in Paralimni, does anyone know the closing time for Saturdays in May?
Thank you.

The times are fixed by law for all shops in Cyprus with a few exceptions like kiosks. See this post:

I just noticed in that post I talk about the winter schedule. For summer schedule which is from April 1st until 31st October the schedule is: Monday,Tuesday,Thursday and Friday until 8pm. Wednesday until 3pm and Saturday until 7:30pm. Sunday closed.

Thanks so much Sotos, I think we should be able to be able to make it, we land at Larnaca at 4pm, then we've got to get to our villa on the outskirts of Ayia Napa, then we can go to stock up with food, I had a feeling the shops could be closed on Sundays so its important to get some food in. Pleased to see that Cyprus does not allow Sunday trading, unlike the UK.

If you come late you can always get the basics from a bakery. Many of them are open 24h ;)
