Hi Simon,

The EUR5000 is for all three systems.

A&B is a block as is C&D and E&F. Thats what thew email from Tanya says that I got a coulpe of days ago. I know this brings the cost down but they are still yet to say how many people they have interested.

The explanation of how it works is vague but interlink refer to a 'SWITCH' system that needs to be put in place for it to work.

We would like to go for it but they are also vague on the subscription package as when I emailed to ask, Tanya said this information can be found out in the uk.

Surely if you subscribe here in the uk then your theory on anytime should also work.

David.

Exactly mate, I'm not going to bother. I think (and am bloody hoping) my theory is right. If you subscribe to Sky you should be able to watch it from anywhere (on one TV of course) especially with the way technology is going these days....

I have also asked how many people are interested but not had a reply yet.

I have also asked about the communal green area and what the plans are etc but not had a reply!!!....

Yeh, It wouldn't be so bad if nearly all wanted it then it wouldn't cost that much at all.

As for responses to things we are hoping to have someone there to represent us at the meeting but are unsure as yet. If this happens then some things should become a little more clear.

Hi All

Just got back from Cyprus Thursday last week and just wanted to let you know that they have marked out and painted all the parking spaces now on all blocks including some for disabled parking. They have also started painting the boundary walls so things are moving but slowly. Tanya now does not expect Interlink to finish and be off site until July 08 as they still have loads to do including all the pavements etc.

Re the Satellite dishes you are correct about A/B having one together and C/D also but E and F will have to have one each so its really expensive for us in these blocks as even if everyone wanted it, it can only be split 8 ways each block and Tanya says its over 4k for the dish alone. At least in A/B and C/D it may be a bit cheaper as there are more apartments to split the cost with. She reckons though that for the bigger double blocks you are looking at over 5k per dish. I believe on top of this amount you will still have the subscription costs connection costs and also the cost for the switch to enable everyone to view.

Suffice to say we will not be taking up their offer as not only for the costs involved but we do not really feel we need a TV when there on holiday anyway though it is a valid point that it would be nice for others that may stay at your apartment if thats what you are going to do.

Would have liked to have been there for the general meeting but had to get back to the UK to earn some money to pay for what we spent in the 2 weeks over there !!!!!!!!!!!!!

All the best everyone

Louis

Unless you are all intent on capturing signals from distant galaxies 4K for the dish is an outrageous price if this doesn’t include the ‘multiswitch’ that splits the signal to the various apartments.

You’d be better off waiting ‘til Interlink get off site and getting a local company to fit it for you – unless Interlink prohibit that in their contract of course. :?

Well...

I should ask them to justify the price or get a breakdown of the price from them.

Then get another quote from a local company and ask why the markup is so huge...

Depends on the dish size...

You shouldn't need more than 3m or 3.3m... say £1,500 or £2K tops.

Then the multiswitch costs a few hundred depending on how many outputs you need...
