Hi K&L

If Interlink are late do you have a clause in your contract at all?

Grump - how do builders over there cope with the heat during summer?

Hi Simon

The clause in the contract is only enforceable if they are late and they could have prevented it. If they are late in finishing and the delay was out of their control i.e. storms, act of god etc then they can over-run a little. I THINK!!!

Does your contract mention something similar?

Hi

Act of god! Ah yes that is in ours too! There is a mention of penalties in ours that if they are late for any other reason it would cost them. Hopefully this wont happen though. I do wonder how they are going to carry on working when the weather is 100 degrees plus!!!

Cheers

With luck, by the time it gets that hot, they should be working on the insides.

Generally speaking they don’t work at all during August… Certainly, the concrete companies shut down during that time although you do see sites where work continues.

Hi there Kate and Lee, Simon and Mr G.

Louis and Anne here, we are also purchasing a one bedroom apartment at Aphrodite Gardens through Interlink. We are in block F which is the one right at the end which has not even been started yet apart from the retaining walls. We have been to Cyprus many times and picked Pissouri as we love the place as its much quieter than other parts of the island and still has that old village feel about it, we just love it there and decided its the place for us. Good to know there are some fellow Brits purchasing as well as us though also nice to know other nationals will be there as well.
We were over there a few weeks ago in January and it was progressing nicely and still is going by the pictutes taken a few days ago by Mr G (many thanks for that). When we were there only that short tima ago there was no top storey to block a-b so they are doing well. Andreas told me that at the moment Block f is about 2 months behind schedule so he thinks will be ready prob late Jan/early Feb 08 but I think it may be a little later than that as it has not been really started on yet but a/b and c/d and poss even e may be ready by December but think that may be a little optimistic for e though but who knows! Really looking forward to having a place out there but it will only be a holiday home to start with and then will see how it goes, especially if I win the lottery!! By the way we live in Torquay but not as close to the seaview as we will all have in Pissouri,

best wishes

Louis and Anne

Hi Louis and Anne,

It's great to meet more neighbours. Was it your first time in Pissouri? Have you only just bought the apartment now? We reserved our apartment last February, although the last year has gone quite fast we just cannot wait for it to be ready. We are in block E. I hope it will be ready for December as we have saved the holidays for this years entitlement and don't really want to waste 08 holidays in the January. We are going over in May for 2 weeks so we will be able to get a better idea on completion dates then. When do you plan to visit again?

Regards
Kate

Hi Kate,

No we tend to go to Pissouri most times we visit Cyprus though it is normally only for a day trip as we have stayed all over the island but when we went in January we stayed there for a few nights to get a feel for the place etc. We reserved our apartment about the same time as you did but have been over twice since just to be nosy really and to see how things were proceeding. We may also try to go back around Maytime depending on circumstances. Have you chosen your tiles/fittings etc or are you waiting for a date to go back over there to do so ?

Regards

Louis

Hi,

We are choosing all the tiles etc in May when we go over. We have been to Cyprus many times before but stayed in Coral Bay, this will be the first time we will be staying in Pissouri it self. We knew as soon as we visited Pissouri it was for us.
