I think the yearly tax is for things like the sewage maintenence etc but we never really got an answer.

Sewerage maintenance is part of the monthly maintenance charge. I had a break down from Interlink and sure that was built into the communal charges

We will ask the relevant questions when we get over there as it seems to me that a few details were skipped over quite quickly and not thoroughly explained by Interlink regarding costs.

Lets face it though, its still bloody cheaper than Blighty!!

It may be for some things but wait till you try and buy anything electrical.
Small 20" tv around EUR 400!!!

However you're right the vast majority of things are much cheaper than here. Other factors make it so much better than here like bins being collected almost daily all year round and the cost of petrol. Although golfers may baulk at the cost of a round over there as I looked at playing last week and it was EUR 125.

We are going over mid March. Can't bloody wait to get away from this cold depressing hovel.

We have been looking on web and Kate has found a few places that do tv's about £150 (I think that is about 200-250 euros). Don't knoe whether that was HD or CRT. What did Furniture Warehouse have in?

I think the golf courses are expensive coz they are classed similar to private clubs over here.

Poplife also do cheap TV's too. There is one in Paphos. I think there was a 27" LCD for £349 CY . The make was virtually unknown though!..

The LCD tv's are expensive. we managed to get a cross between tv, by samsung, thats not as big as a normal tv but bigger than a lcd and that was EUR190.

Furniture warehouse doesn't do any electrics as such however we did get a free kettle with our order and we did get a small discount.

We will just have to see what tv we can grab hold of when we get out there.

Seems daft though doesn't it. We never watch tv when we are on hols yet this feels different. We are there for nearly three weeks so we should have plenty of time to shop around and sort any problems we may run into, which seem quite likely to happen.

Keys:
A friend took over their apartment in Pissouri and was assured that all of the keys had been returned. A short time later they discovered that mysterious blue paint had appeared on furniture that was delivered after the handover – the paint matched that of the balustrades on the rest of the development.

Water:
€300 ‘water tax’ sounds outrageous.

Sewage:
Doe the development have a ‘Bio Plant’?
