Rather than arguing about how evil Papadopoulos is or how fat Denktas is, and waiting for them to make the move, we should ask ourselves, What can ordinary people do without their leaders to solve the Cyprus problem?

Dear Alasya,

Why dont we for example start with abolishing the old idea of "Greek to Greek" where GCs simply refuse to do business with TCs unless they are really forced to do so.

I have so many friends with businesses that for example complain that they have applied to GC newspapers for advertising their products, with paying the price for the advertisement of course, but simply were turned down because they were TCs.

Dear Insan,

The word for sunnet is “circumcision”. And contrary to the popular belief in Turkish society it is Jews, and many Catholics in the west gets it done. The tradition of “sunnet” is not just Islam but actually comes all the way from Jewish roots. That is why we are required to do it, because Islam comes from the same roots as Judaism.

This is what is meant by inter-communal trade. You should write to the EU commission and make them aware of this.

Dude, I'm not really sure about the legal aspect, but I have the impression that if they do accept the ads, they can face prosecution. TC companies (those not registered at the RoP Registrar, I presume) are considered illegal in the RoP. So, I guess your complaints should be aimed at the government of the RoP.

Guess so, cuz those who oppose him would be much more co-operative and helpful to TCs
