let me tell you what the real opportunity is.
there is a guy, on the parallel street of the ledra palace opening who is making ekmek.
i guess thats the only thing he serves : ekmek and cold water :)

if you didnot try that ekmek yet, then your life is not complete yet :lol: :lol:

often i think of dropping my studies, go to the guy, buy the secret from him and bring it to the south. :lol:
believe me , no national feelings can make you resist that temptation

Cyp, are you thinking of "ekmek kadayif". It’s a sort of cake with a layer of pistachio nuts and cheese or custard in the middle soaked in syrup. Add ice cream and it is heaven. My sister makes it when she is in the UK especially for me and all my greedy relatives eat it too.:evil:

apart from the cheese, it sounds good.

any chance of getting the recipe?

has anyone tried eating frozen grapes? they are out of this world on a hot day. especially sultana grapes :P

Theres nothing like a mixed pide - the market cafe in Kyrenia make the best pide ever. By the way the cheese in ekmek kadayif is called nor, and its a soft sweet cheese often served in desserts the same way you would ricotta.
But Zan is right - you just add ice-cream to make it pure heaven..........
