Gas Cookers

Postby davidp » Thu Jan 06, 2005 1:14 pm

Hi all,
If things go according to plan my wife Jackie and I will be moving to the Limassol area at the end of January or early February.
We are brimging much of our home with us but but not our gas cooker.

Ideally we will be looking for a double oven range style cooker, does anyone know of retailers in Cyprus.

All the best

Hi David,

Personally, I'd recommend getting one in the UK. Electronic and white goods are notoriously expensive in Cyprus. You'd probably find it cheaper to buy one before you go and ship it with the rest of your stuff. I'm not planning on going back for 3-4 years, but when I do I'll be buying everything before I go.

Of course, seek advice if UK spec cookers will connect to the local gas system. If not, go for a dual-fuel cooker with gas bottles, many people do.

Good luck with the move

To cannedmoose,

Thanks for the reply, I spent 2 days on the web trying to find a full LPG cooker rather than a dual fuel, ended up buying a Cannon Chichester double oven full LPG. Cost £504 inc. delivery (tho not to cyprus  )

best of luck
