I have never had any contracts just a month by month agreement and these are easy to find

There are a lot of properties available to rent so you don't need to agree to his terms.

Best thing is to drive around and look out for banners etc advertising rentals and you can then contact the owners direct.

I suspect this owner knows how keen you are and is exploiting this.

hi, i actually went to an agent and he showed me a few houses, he tried to push me to chose the most expensive one but at least i saw a few and i made an opinion and at the end i went back to the agent and selected one of if offer. check at least one other agent.
