I am sorry to disappoint you humanist but ALL forums thrive on opposing views.
If you find a forum where people wanting unification concentrate, be sure there will be an equal amount of partitionists.
Otherwise the forum will close down.

Don't be too disappointed from this forum. Just read through the lines.

im sure there is one out there humanist, i have used a US right winger forum before, only took me 2 days to get banned but it was funny to see how people would just like to sit around and talk about the Bush administration without allowing anyone to oppose to it....

so to be honest i think apart from a very few here (eg. Sotos, Kifeas) everyone else is rather pleasant to read and im sure they are very negotiable people, apart from miltiades, there seems to be something very shifty about his over-sincerity  but im sure hes not all that bad...

however, altho generally it seems like we are going in circles here, i think overall there is a good balance of ideas and it would be interesting to see how all these different people react to the ever changing conditions of the subject throughout the time...

plus how boring would the world be without having anyone to oppose to....

Shah , you haven't met many Cypriots and you are hanging on to preconceived ideas formulated by listening to Cypriots who do not have the interests of the future generations of our island at heart. YOU just like VP and Zan find it hard to come to terms with people like me , Bir and Kikapu , because our ideals are contradictory to all the propaganda that you have been subjected to. I did post many times that I spend part of my young life in an orphanage sharing dormitories with Cypriot children Turkish and Greek , played with them fought childish games and loved them as mates , not differentiating between G/C S and T/C kids , what is so shifty about this mate ? People with my views have to deal with bigots sending them private emails accusing them of being traitors to their nation , or people like you mistrusting and questioning motives. Old Miltiades will carry on regardless.

hey who am i to judge my friend, it was just and observation since my initial contact with you was pretty hostile and it suddenly changed to pretty friendly, but im sure it was just the heat of the debate.

on the other hand i have met plenty of Cypriots since i do live there and i have met people who would totally aggree with you as well, shame there doesnt seem to be that many compared to the ones who would oppose tho....

also i dont think the ideas of you, vp, zan, birkibrisli and kikapu are ultimately THAT different from eachother, you all want the same thing just from different paths... funny enough people who do live outside Cyprus seem to be a lot more optimistic about everyone back there, and the people who live there seem a lot more cautious, who knows maybe its because they are isolated or maybe its because you are too distant, time will show i guess..

Bir and Kikapolous only represent 3.2% of the TC community, those children grew up miltiades and routed for enosis and taksim, things have changed we are no longer "mates" we are 2 separate people trying to find out what is best for us, unification or Partition.

VP other people accuse you for propaganda, and you should start asking yourself why.
You repeated so many times that the views of Birkibrisli and Kikapu represent only 3.2% of the views of TCs.

The table below shows the circulation of TC newspapers.
Even if the above persons aspire totally the views of just only AFRICA then their percentage is 7%. But they ARE NOT. Sum up the newspapers with which their views are in line and tell me the percentage. I am waiting....

Kibris 8000 57%
Halkin Sesi 1000 7%
Yeni Duzen 1000 7%
Africa/Avrupa 1000 7%
Kibrisli 700 5%
Volkan 700 5%
Vatan 600 4%
Birlik 400 3%
Ortam 400 3%
Chumhuriyet 300 2%
Total 14100 100%

are you being serious here? this not a representative sample its just a % of how many people read each newspaper. What KADEM have done is taken a random sample which is international practice. Instead of analyzing why 65% are more in favor of a 2 state solution you are shooting the messenger and the form of transport.
