Air conditioning

Postby Joff » Wed Feb 07, 2007 5:27 pm

Hi all, What would I be looking at to buy a 12,000btus (3.5kw) a/c unit from in the south - and what would I expect to pay for having it installed? Any good a/c suppliers (preferably trade) around Nicosia/Larnaca.
Thanks.

I have used Georgos Theodorou in Larnaca (a little down from the Fire Station towards the centre on the LH side). Excellent service AND prices.

Hi Joff,
The last time I was across looking at my house build the A/C units in Carrefor (Chris Cash & Carry) Limassol were an incredible price. About £150 for a 1200BTU unit. Another place to look is here
www.dalcoworld.com/index.php?mod=product&id_prd=85
I believe DALCO also fit for £50 each unit.

Cheapest is not always best; you do not want to lay awake on steamy summer nights listening to an a/c howling away, just 3m form your ear.
Buy on Value, not on Price.

I agree with Lana, cheapest isnt best -you should get well known brands then you know that spare parts -if they are ever needed are easily available. Shame you cant come to Kyrenia, we have Daikin powered units only £244 for a 12kbtu (supplied and fitted)!!
