3.2% of Turkish Cypriots feel they are just Cypriots

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

You are my enemy in terms of your ideology and way of thinking and not someone I want to harm. But again how stupid of me to not have thought that you will once again twist things and present them as it suits your cause. It is views like these (from both sides) that have destroyed our country...and all these to the benefit of motherland Turkey and co.

Quoting what happend is not promoting hatred on its own, its the spin and twist that goes with it that is propaganda. I am sure that if a TC kid decides to beat a GC kid because they argued about who is going to play a game first, people with the same agenda as you will jump again and say "see what happens when we mix? better to stay apart!"

In the past nationalist from both sides played this game - TMT even went as far as bombing a TC shop (property?) in order to blame the other side and spread propaganda that led to intercommunal fights in nicosia - as a result the green line split my home town in two sectors - and don't ask me for independent sources this time - all you have to do is search for Denktash's admittance of the insidence.

As for Tpap he is an elected president and what makes you so sure that pressure is not applied to him - there is pressure and quite a lot to get back to negotiations, this is provided that Talat and Turkey agree. But I do not think that any GC will ever apply pressure to Tpap to recognise trnc and to allow direct flights.

I will ignore your comment about utopianists...

Look askimwos you appear to be a level headed individual and I would like to express to you that my views are not that far from the average TC. As you know when we meet face to face people from both sides are very polite and cordial they very rarely disclose their true feelings or ideals for fear of hurting or upseting the other side. This forum allows us the opportunity to bring down those barriers and express our true thoughts, concerns and fears. If I quote facts as I see them and these make you feel uncomfortable then rather than attacking me surely you should question what it is you are doing that has this impact on the other side or alternatively try to clarify the situation without using degrading and belittling rhetoric.

Also for the record and your information the TCs view Papadop as you view Denktas, so any solution with him in the equation would be a non starter, once you get rid of him and elect someone who can even stomach sitting opposite a TC leader is the day we move forward. Otherwise he is taking you all on merry ride to nowhere which you will have see sooner or later.

concerns and fears

you ain't got none of that but what you have is partition, partition and more partition in your mind with a lot of hatred and resentement towards your fellow compatriots. simple as that and you are too coward to admit it.

it just makes me wonder were this hate is coming from and i came to the conclusion you are profiting from the current situation and you want to extend it to as much as possible. and i say only extending, coz nothing is final.

but one sunny day, if you don't unite it will come crushing down, coz turkey ain't gonna tolerate you for too long. regardless what they say today, there will come a day when they will make you pay. and pay dearly, yes your brethren. they have their own agenda and you are messing around with it.

they want to get in the eu and you are screwing them. actualy you are screwing 70 million people you call brethren. but don't worry lets pretend turkey walks away from the eu, what you think is gonna happen to you? i just feel for those true cypriots that do want to unite coz you gonna hang them too with your self purpose in life

ponder on this one for while

And since you don’t see that light of the unification but also you don’t really wait for that, how much do you want the unified Cyprus exactly???

I know what you said…you said that elderly people do not want unification…but you are young and you have the same opinion with them…what are you telling us? You are a liar? You are not 26?
Oh and thanks for the compliment! Sorry I was fixing my make up…but what about you? Read my post again…or don’t post when you are drunk!!

Can you decide please! What exactly do you want? You want unification or recognition!!!! First you say that you want unification…then you want recognition first of all…then you believe that we are going to live eventually in a unified Cyprus…then you don’t hold your breath about that…then….come on Shahmaran…decide…we are felling dizzy here. You have to make up your mind. Only one of those things…you can not have both!!!

Askimwos I couldn’t agree with you more.

VP…why is so difficult for you to understand few things? We don’t hate you…I don’t know about you…but we don’t. We don’t hide our feelings even if it’s a forum or a supermarket…just you don’t talk about political matters when you see someone in the street.
You are stuck in the past and you are not able to forgive or put any effort to change the whole situation. You keep asking us what we have done…as individuals…but can you answer first what have you done as individual for all this? We are trying here to make you understand that we don’t hate you and we want to be with you in a unified country but you don’t even want to meet us or talk to us because you think that we might kill you. Ok I respect your option…but don’t judge us since you don’t even want to do anything as individual.
