why is paps hated by the tcs?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Sorry to say but this is a naive question to ask.

Joanna, sorry to say but you are a minority in the GC side in terms of your views. I want to believe that Cypriots have not grown to become as greedy as your comments suggest.

the reason i ask is because i don't know much about the man. i've been away for 40 odd years and wanted to learn.

i also see some tcs, if not all accuse him of various things, here is their chance to air them out, but as you can see they all hide when confonted, choosing instead to be keyboard warriors with one two liners, like good old zany baby. see the second post of this thread.

Does the Akritas plan ring any bells?

Really Joanna, if anything Papadopoulos in public atleast is all for reunification, but on his own terms. BBF solution he says but on terms which would safeguard the real geographic, social and economic unification of Cyprus. He hasnt said a single word to the people as to exactly what he means preferring to say that he has given his proposals to those people that matter (we dont ofcourse..)

I think you are scared and in some respect you maybe justified. I would like you to consider very carefully the dangers of partition, de facto and agreed one. Why do you think, all major political parties in Cyprus are against such possibility?? Consider for one, that partition in essence will transform the North into a Turkish province which in less than a decade based on today's population growth will have a population atleast equal to the South's where T/Cs will be a small minority...

the best idea is to separate this island into 2, in a different way :
The ones who think like Joanna and the ones who think like Humanist :)
it ll bring the eternal peace :)
coz den uparxoun sinora but only good and bad people..

Pitsilos,

Tpapa is not well liked ( ) by the TCs mainly because he was associated with the drawing up of the once secret Akritas plan (back in 1960) which most TCs are led to believe was an extermination plan.

He is also continually accused by Talat and Co for not wanting to share power with TCs, not wanting a BBF solution, and for wanting to reduce the TCs to a politically minority community with little power.

Oh,and he is also accused of being a former member of EOKA,and for threatening that the GCs had the means and the will to eliminate the TCs within 75 minutes in case of a Turkish attack in 1964...

You are welcome,pitsilos.
I am not the right person to ask about neutral books or other material on Papadop. Perhaps Cypez or Kifeas can help with this.
