Notice on an Irish pub read."Due to the latest outbreak of Bird Flue all Hen Nights will be cancelled until further notice".

I bet that was my local in Tralee..............Poor Hens, a hot toddy with good Irish whisky would have really pecked (sorry - perked) them up!!
