Pity there isn't an equivalent cat law.

Why? Is mauling by cats a problem in cyprus?

Not mauling but miauling! I have a neighbour who has a variable number of cats between 12 and 20, depending on the hatches and dispatches. I guess the average lifetime is about a year. They miaowl all the hours of the night and day and use our garden as a stinking public toilet and hunting ground. When politely requested to have them sterilised, he refuses.

Secondarily, they upset my dog and have given him parasites.

If he had to pay to have them chipped and an annual £15 licence fee, he would think twice about having so many and would start looking after them properly, instead of feeding them on the birds in my garden.

I have five ... that's why I was asking !

They are all neutered/spayed and now are all registered, chipped etc. My vet charged £20 to chip them. I probably got a bulk discount :D
