Turkey NOT ready for EU.......

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby miltiades » Sat Feb 03, 2007 10:49 am

At long last , shahmaran admits he is a TurK NOT a Cypriot , this is what he wrote :

""""Turkey has been dealing with these people for a long time and we are more than willing to give up some rights and freedom to stop these bastards from ruling our country! """""

secondly she contiues to threaten human rights

thirdly she is a bully in the middle east and mediteranian region

fourthly she is refusing to obey EU agreements

I don't think this shows a level of integrty, trust and development to warrant EU membership. Perhaps the EU can now make a correct assessment of Turkey's imaturity and lack of substantiated eveidence that there is willingness to change and be part of the team.

"I SAY NO TO WAR THREATS FROM TURKEY - JUSTICE FOR CYPRUS"

I wonder if the UK & US will act on such threats of Terrorism? Will you Mr Bush & Mr Blair?

Not all countries were ready for the EU humanist. Not even the great UK was and struggled for a long while and as for Greece.........

How times have changed. Greece was a basket case when it entered the then European Community in 1981. It was propelled in, partly under American pressure (sounds familiar?), before many people, including the European Commission, thought it was ready. During the first three years of membership, an army of Commission officials shuttled between Brussels and Athens to coax, cajole and bully the Greek administration into implementing EC policies and giving up centuries-old Levantine practices and habits.

The shock therapy succeeded, although it took time: by the mid-1980s Jacques Delors was still musing out loud that Greek membership had been a mistake.

i dont view this topic from a european perspective but from a pure cypriot self-interest one.
it is to our interest that turkey remains on the EU path !

concequently , the question "if turkey belongs or not" it is not one that is for me a first priority.

i think it should remain on the path however her bullying tactics indicate the she not able. she is creatring so much trouble before she gets in imagine what she will do once she is. a nation threatening war upon another nation does not have european values only barbaric ideology. NO WAR ON CYPRUS

I agree on NO WAR but let us not forget the bullying tactics of the RoC. Maybe not as war (although Kifeas has proved that they are gearing up for something) but in the courts and with political will.

Miltiades i dont know why i have to keep reassuring everyone that i am Cypriot, its irrelevant, what is right about a subject should be right regardless of my nationality, and i am a Turkish Cypriot!, so i hope i dont have to underline the "Turkish" within that name, why wouldnt i care about Turkey?

Surprise surprise cyperzokily , we agree that Turkey must continue the EU process , and the quicker she becomes a full EU member the better for the entire region.
Here we go , we agree on this one !!!

I learn when they call me to answer...when they ask me to answer...when they say my name referring to me to take it personal...
So my dear Shahmaran...whats your problem again with "Lena"???
You worry about me...right???
What for???
Do you worry about the flags? I have seen both of them several times!!
Do you worry about the penis? I have seen of those dont worry - the sight is not that scary
Do you worry about the circumcised penis? I have seen of that too. I know what it is and its a part of your religion. You didnt know that lots of men do this kind of operation and not because they are muslims.
Finally, do you worry about your circumcised penis with the two flags on it? Yeap, if you say so...it means that every time you have to take a shower you have to close your eyes!!! Yes ... ok I will never try to see your penis then!!!
