more and more threats

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby humanist » Sat Feb 03, 2007 4:26 am

I once congratulated Talat on his efforts over the bridge, now I think he is just damn stupid. He really needs to understand that when he stops violating the rights of refugees and he gets rid of the turks, he will share the proceeds from the natural and other resources.

Get a grip dude ....... go join mother turkey and drill for your own oil,

i think putting the blame on the roc for denying your freedom is a tiny bit far fetched. daddy dektash knew exactly what he was doing in 83. i didn't see anyone complaining in the north at the time.

but again i say your greviences are with turkey. don't forget she kicked out 200,000 people and put up fortified borders.

and shahmaran, what happens to the rights of all these 200,000 people? can they have the rights restored you think? can they go back home and still say they live in the roc or do they have to take an oath to ataturk.

i hope they can man, but i definately dont think this attitude is the way...

you know they say, sometimes you have to let go first in order to get it back

we seriously need to break out of this 74 state of mind and unite like propper compatriots

i think when the RoC treats us like this, they achieve nothing but to leave an opportunity for Turkey to get involved in such ways...

exactly, i dont think there are that many TCs under 60 who would deny this anymore, but the RoC is not exactly giving us a better option either, they are so on the wrong strategy, their hostile and un-negotiable stance leaves us not much choice but Turkey...

if they want us to "bite the hand that feeds us" as they say in Turkey, than they have to offer a better hand

apart from the ports shahmaran, what would you perceive as good deeds by the roc?

the reason i say exlude the ports is because that would be completely unacceptable to the roc. that would mean some kind of recognition.

on a side note, your comments seemed to contradict zan and vp, where i see hope with you and i see despair from them.

well in that case there is not much i can say, because recognition is what i had in mind but only as a step towards unification, and i dont think (tho i dont want to speak for anyone, just an observation) zan and vp would HATE to see a united Cyprus in the distant future, however this must not be done by forcing us into submission. i just cant see anything positive to come out from the people who are soo determined to keep us isolated, which does infact effect every aspect of our lives, its more then just distant political talk man, its something that slaps you in the face everytime you step out of your house, its very immediate!

mate i'm a skip like you from melbourne

the answer to your question, is yes they are free to move around, and claim their properties as long as they live in the free areas for 6 months.

also tcs that left the roc before 1974, can claim their property immediately. i am not so sure about this one though.
