ENOSIS and TAKISM are two sides of the same coin, and any discussion otherwise is fruitless.
If we are to go beyond the impasse, then the national interest of either population must be sustained. To do this the displaced (dating from 1960), and the settlers, must have their homes, rather than the houses in which they live. And they (all Cypriots, grecophone or turcophone, and not just GC or TC) must be united, in a State which is their representation as a peoples, members of the larger family, of Man, equals, and in global exchange.
Imagine if our world was bi-zonal, having many parts; and bi-communal, not with one government (or two), but three. It is a fantasy world where free association, free expression and free movement will fructify. It is a world where each community can sustain their own distinctiveness, adding to the vitality of their national identity, and adding to their ability to govern themselves independantly, as well as an inclusive society, with a Government which shares in their respect for Communal Rights, by preserving each and every citizen's equality, and by defending their Individual Rights.
