I love it when you talking to me so sweet...
Ok back to the subject! Comparing the money we spend on gas with the money that friend and relatives spend on petrol...We spend less than them and we use the heating more hours than they do. We sleep with the heating on, we might forget it on for days and they turn it on only few hours a day...and we still pay less than they do...!!!

queenslander,

If I were to hire you to advise our company for what sort of heating systems they should use in cyprus, I would certainly strike you out immediately. You are a total IGNORANT on this matter... I can even prove it to you scientifically you are absolutely wrong.

What did you say before, gas is the answer?

See Lena, you are not factually correct. here are so many parameters in that. Is your house an appartment? Is it between floors? If it is a house does it have better insulation than your friends. Does it have better orientation, i.e more sun hitting it all day?

I can prove to you scientifically and economically that gas as it stands today at a price of 50 cents per litre, compared with 44 cents of HEATING diesel with a heating value 65% that of diesel and with a burning efficiency about 97% for BOTH, that gas is by 40% less economic than diesel.

Moreover: It is by far more dangerous than diesel installations in case of leak. This means a big booooooom risk for a house.

Just think of this: Do you think that the vast majority of Cypriots who use diesel are crazy or something, and you are the only clever ones in Cyprus?

Even your mobile number is an indication of what kind of company you run.

anyway...no its not an apartment , its a house and the sun its the same...but my point is not that is warmer is that the hours that we have our heater on are more than the others...I dont know about insulation...
and no i dont think that we are the clever ones...thats why I asked for advice...but most of them dont know about the gas central heating or the afraid to use something new!!! Thats what they told me ... its not my words. About the danger you are right but its the same with the gas hob...you always have a chance to get fire...

LENA,

I have given you a PROFFESSIONAL advice. You are free to do as you like. Gas btw is not something new in Cyprus....
People tried it in the past, simply because it is clean and needs no maintenance. On the other hand though...

you are offended , and I am sorry I upset you, but really these people ask in good faith. Some are asking about relocating their whole families. So the information you give them should acurate or your own opinion, but i think you should make it clear what your veiw is. (both are good ) i am not here to make enemies (although I do like beating people from time to time) dont be upset just because i disagree with you, this is what makes the world go round. As for my phone number feel free to call anytime.
