New Poll in TRNC 65% of TCs want a 2 state solution.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

New Poll in TRNC 65% of TCs want a 2 state solution.

New poll conducted by KADEM reveals only 20% of TCs want a federal solution and that the last 3 years have effected to TCs voters towards wanting a 2 state solution, 65% said they would prefer a 2 state solution.

These are the effects of GC intransigence, well done guys.

can you breakdown the voters? ie TC and settlers?

i will also presume that the 20% that want a federation are true TCs

What happened to the other 15% ????

You make a very broad statement on this polling. Lets see the questions and the breakdown on who voted, and more importantly, who should not have voted.

By the way, a Federation System, will have 2 states in it, or did you mean to say, 2 countries.

The real question is:

When did TCs accept a unitary or a true federation (true = as it exist in other federal countries)? In the 50s when they demanded partition and published maps showing a divided Cyprus, in the 60s when they intensified they efforts to achieve partition, in 74 that immediately sided with the foreign invaders for the partition of Cyprus, in 83 that they declared their "independent" "trnc", when they were saying that Cyprus Problem was solved with the invasion, or when they voted for a partition plan that would even give to them more benefits that a standard kind of partition?

The answer is that the majority of TCs never accepted a unitary or federal state.

The only thing that changed is that for a short while they thought they could trick us into accepting partition by labeling partition as "unification". When their attempt failed, they went back into calling partition as partition like they always did.

So please stop the jokes that TCs supposedly just discovered the idea of partition. That must be the biggest joke ever. Partition has always been their aim and it continues to be.

I extracted this from the kadem website it seems to be the latest source available (June 2006)

I'll not make any comment as I will get 'shot down' by the more politically astute forum members

I am trying to learn about the Cyprus problem so any views would be appreciated

Thank you RichardB, for the above.

On one of the polls conducted found, that the more educated the TC,s were, more he/ she wanted a coexistence with the GC's.

Am I suppose to read something into this, as to why Zan, VP, and Shahmaran, (or the 65% TC's, VP gave us), does not want coexistence with the GC's.

I'm not saying it, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not. :!: :!:
