Lets just say there was oil!

People are already dividing up the revenue from something that has not yet materialised and I just wondered what they thought they were going to get once the oil barons have taken all they want.

Can any one tell me how the ordinary person on the ground is going to benefit from this oil?

Just think how your own family would benefit, if you came into some big money. Well, you would spend it on them, and the same will go for the average citizens, with much improved infrastructure and jobs, with better pa. In Alaska, all the natives get direct cash, every year, for every person, including children, from the Alaskan Oil.

Will the "True Cypriots" get more money than the ordinary Cypriots, is what I want to know.

difference it will have in ordinary people is mostly on the infrastructure and taxes. Cyprus will be an attractive place to live in if this happens. (not that its so bad now).

There are negatives to this as well. WIth wealth 2 things happen automatically. You need and can afford the best protection money can buy. I'm afraid that with no solution we're going to start building an army over here to guard the resource that will rival Israel's.
