Strange how a genuine misunderstanding about "an explosion" and the "explosion" night club should cause such an adverse reaction.

Drugs? I don't take them. I like my emotions calm and chilled. Able to take good humour and frienship in its stride.

then I forgive you...

Lena i think you are great. Ken910, lena is right and no, the line doesnt run through the middle, they have just under a 1/3 rd of the island. As for unspoilt i would say (as many others have commented) backwards!. Its like stepping into a timewarp, they have no cense of progression, light years away form the Greek Cypriot side in every aspect. And incase you are thinking that i am commenting from a greek point of view, this mornig an english gentlemen went to the other side on business and when he came back, he commented how bad things are over there and how he was pleased to get back to civilisation.

You are right joanna on what you said...except from the part that are not civilized...They are ... dont make them look miserable. They would loved that! By the way as the told me some places are ok and even more beautiful than you can imagine. But most of the areas there they look like the time have stopped 30 years ago!!!

The places you say look beautifull are probably the ones they couldnt destroy, or steal anything from!. Where it suits them they try to make things look ok, if it means that they can get ppl looking for a cheap (cant say chearfull!) holidays. As long as there are Turks ( my appologies to all the real TC's out there) nothing good can be said about the other side. I pray to god that the 2 sides stay seperated forever, so they dont ruin this side aswell.
Message to all the TC's- revolt, get rid of the Turks

Joanna I am Cypriot I can understand your anger. I grow up with this hatred. You are right about the places...may be its like you said. I dont really know. But believe me its not fair to say that. The TCs are Cypriots too, the only thing that I can and I will never be able to accept is the Turkish living in my country. But if we stay divided for ever...then it means that eventually we will have to recognised them as a separate country. Do you want that?

Funny, I went to Famagusta area last weekend and was pleased to see villages with a beautiful well maintained church and a mosque...

Economic isloation has a lot to do with the backwardness, they truely are stuck 30 years behind the south of the island...

Probably best to bear in mind that if Turkey does make the EU, they (turks) will have as much right to live in Cyprus as any other EU country

I hope by that time everything will settle down. I am terrified what will happen if Turkey be part of EU before the solution
