I went to school in Toxteth and I turned out ok (apart from the nervous twitch).

Living in these rough areas makes you appreciate the nice areas more and maybe expect less which is a good thing. Can't say I ever got mugged or stabbed there but it was a long time ago.

To be honest, I doubt it's as bad as everyone makes out..It's just one of them areas everybody knows about and hears about to be worse than others around them. Do you still live in liverpool or have you moved?

No - moved away 20 years ago but still go back regularly to see family.

My parents are moving back to the Wirral soon having lived near me for a while so we will probably be visiting more often - my daughters just love Liverpool!
