According to the newspaper "Cyprus Dialogue" Talat said that the single sided pumping of oil in the area is a reason for war for "Ankara". Well last time I saw he was the elected president of the TC community not a spokesman for Ankara foreign afairs.... hmmmm :?

It just goes to show that Turkey has their hand stuck up Talat the muppet's arse and telling him what to say.

Talat's leadership of the Turkish Cypriot community has seen him turn into 'a fish out of water' - I dont think he has the charisma to stand up against Ankara. He basically says what Turkey tells him to say and this latest ridiculous statement in the media (if it is true) will see his credibility amongst the international community plunge even further.

Then again, a war could be a blessing in disguise for the Cypriot community if we want to get our homes and country back. That doesnt look like its going to happen with Turkey holding the north to ransom and most Cypriot's seem to think the only way justice will be done is through another war and not compromising to Turkey's ridiculous demands.

what you actually think that you would stand a chance against Turkey in the case of a war?

I think if Turkey, declared war on Cyprus, a member of the EU, then it would not just be Cyprus and Turkey involved in the conflict.

Infact, Turkey doesnt want to be in any war because you would have the Kurds taking advantage of the Turkish military attention in Cyprus.

If war did break out, giving Cyprus' current position in the international community and the fact that the whole island is regarded legally under the RoC, then I could see more a chance of Turkey losing control of the north of the island by the end of such a conflict.

makes sense, but if i were you i still wouldnt gamble my life on it, given the time difference between Turkey and EU can react...

but then i think the whole idea is preposterous, there is no way anyone is declaring war on anyone, and if thats what Talat is saying than im sorry he is a fucking moron...

Turkey said that in the sea were the oil will be pumbed there is a minority of Turkish fish which will be harmed.

So they will do another "peace operation" to kill several 1000s of Greek Cypriots and ethnically cleanse the remaining ones, in order to protect the Turkish fish.

As we know very well Turks always have very valid reasons for committing their crimes, illegalities and atrocities.
