Mrfromng, I don't really consider myself one who closes his eyes in front of Greek propaganda or misinformation either. I have particular issues with this sepcific writer for the reasons I have told you about. No disrespect to what you and your family have gone through, but my family went through similar things in 74. If we're to belive this guy they were shown the door from their town with flowers and music from the trkish troops.

DT, the day we all accept the fact that we are all victims of circumstances is the day we can go forward on the Cyprus issue. If reconciliation can be achieved in South Africa it should be a piece of cake for us.

We are more similar than we care to admit. Both TC'c and GC's are kind and accommodating people. We are good at heart and forgiving, with these qualities nothing is impossible. We shouldn't be discouraged by some of the garbage we may post on here at times. We are just frustrated and I guess we are discharging on the forum by putting the boot into one another. Nothing serious and should be taken with a pinch of salt.

I'm also very much aware that a lot of GC's suffered just as I did. Lets hope and pray we can be more tolerant with one another and live in peace. If this is achieved by reunification I'm up for it. If it means separation I have to honest and say I'm up for that too. At 53 I want an end to all this before I die, one way or another.

couldn't put it better myself....apart from the separation part. I'm a bit younger so can afford to wait around a little more :P

mrfromng, congratulations on great post. My father who is 65 year has said to me many times that he would like to also see a solution for Cyprurs before he dies. I guess we are more similar than we like to admit. However, whilst we are venting on the forum I think we could all do better, because by booting each other it really does not take us forward, rather bachward, especially for those young enough that didn't experience post 74 Cyprus I was only 6 year but have some fond memories in living in Xeros village.

I would also like to encourage all of us not to see ourselves as victims, because that just breeds more and more fear and blame, lets all join together and protest to our respective leaders for a speed up in the process towards a solution, though I have to say I do not support partition I think the benefits of all of us living together would be greater in the long term and for our childrens generations to come
