You can always count on my support for you too.
Kikapu,
Just out of interest. Years ago a distant relative went to the states to work on the Voice of America radio. You wouldn't by any chance be related to this person would you?

with all due respect any publication, regardless of its origin that is not singing your tune will be discredited by you. I'm in a no win situation.
So for now I will keep remembering those awful days when we were a whisker away from being slaughtered and will judge the Cyprus situation based on those memories. I find that to be the most reliable source of information.
No, I'm afraid not mrfromng. Is this not the same station, that voices Democrats mainly, since all the other syndicated "Talk Radio", is for the Conservatives, and they have many.
Mrfromng, I don't really consider myself one who closes his eyes in front of Greek propaganda or misinformation either. I have particular issues with this sepcific writer for the reasons I have told you about. No disrespect to what you and your family have gone through, but my family went through similar things in 74. If we're to belive this guy they were shown the door from their town with flowers and music from the trkish troops.

DT, the day we all accept the fact that we are all victims of circumstances is the day we can go forward on the Cyprus issue. If reconciliation can be achieved in South Africa it should be a piece of cake for us.
We are more similar than we care to admit. Both TC'c and GC's are kind and accommodating people. We are good at heart and forgiving, with these qualities nothing is impossible. We shouldn't be discouraged by some of the garbage we may post on here at times. We are just frustrated and I guess we are discharging on the forum by putting the boot into one another. Nothing serious and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
I'm also very much aware that a lot of GC's suffered just as I did. Lets hope and pray we can be more tolerant with one another and live in peace. If this is achieved by reunification I'm up for it. If it means separation I have to honest and say I'm up for that too. At 53 I want an end to all this before I die, one way or another.

couldn't put it better myself....apart from the separation part. I'm a bit younger so can afford to wait around a little more
