Back to the topic now if I may.

Those guys who would supposely erect those flags are an association or a union.
My question is:
a)Can any association or union go onto the top of a mountain (state property) and erect whatever structure they like in the occupied?
b)Don't they need a licence to do something like that?
c)If yes WHO GAVE THEM the licence? Talat or the Turkish Army.
d)What are the TCs going to do if and when this ever happens.

I haven't herd much more on the flags,but your questions are very pertinent. They would definitely need an approval from Talat and Co plus an approval from the Military (you know,from the General in charge of the "Cyprus Peace Corps" ) to put them up.As some of us know very well,you can't even cough in the TRNC without the permission from the military...

I beleive this flag case should have been more properly investigated by the media

If those organisers have issued such an announcement, then : First thing every serious journalist would do is go check if there is in fact such a registered union. Then check who are the members. According to the law (in RoC) no union can be registered unless it also deposits its "memorandum of association" a piece of paper signed by all members saying what the objectives of this union are.
Then he could go interview the president of the union and find out who really is behind him.

It is through such events the the press uncovers politicians and exposes their policies in my opinion.
Yet nothing fascinating seems to happen among the TC people of the press.

Well as I said, and whether you or I or we like it or not, ...we are all Europeans now...

Whether the flag of the Union sits comfortably alongside the other two I suggest is open to debate.
