WHY IS CYPRUS DIVIDED?

It is necessary to know what happened in Cyprus between the foundation of the Republic in 1960 and the Turkish intervention in 1974, not for historical interest but in order to determine whether the political status of the Greek Cypriot Administration today, and its acceptance by the world is justified. If the Turkish Cypriots had simply withdrawn from the institutions of the Republic in 1964 with no reasonable excuse, and if the Turkish army had invaded in 1974 without any legal right or humanitarian justification, then perhaps the world would be right to treat the Greek Cypriot Administration as if it were the Government of Cyprus. The truth of the matter is however very different.

One side of the story, very clever use of 'Greek Cypriots' and 'Turkish Cypriots' which he uses to refer both to the communities AND to nationalists and extremists alike. The Greek Cypriot 'man on the street' has committed genocide according to this writing and must be punished.
Having said that I did find it interesting but due to the black and white opinion of the author I think it's only useful as a basis for further reading.

Propaganda according to a GC, the crap your sites distribute are also propaganda to TCs, its not one way traffic but the article does give you an insight of what we really think, how we see things and feel, so your reading it will at least give a TC perspective feel to highlight areas which are wrong in your opinion of course but totally dismissing shows your own intolerant stand for anything that challenged your own rigid viewpoint.
