We both belong to this island and it is your right to be here just as it mine but I do not want to live in a GC state run by GCs where I am at the mercy of the GC system. I want to rule myself and have a say in my own future, is this really wanting to much? If we cannot do this jointly then surely we must move forwards alone. GCs should be allowed to return to the TRNC or vice versa or paid compensation and the 2 states should both be recognized, you in the EU us not. Everyone should be given the freedom to settle in which side they wish but of course they would live as a minority in their chosen state under that states laws. Isnt this a solution that can work? if 20 30 eyasr down the line we want to unite we can hold a referendum and decide.

You hit the nail on the head Viewpoint.

G.C's - is it really too much to ask :?:

Eeermmm should we approve the partition of the island permanently? Let me think about this one......................eeeeerrrmmmm.............no

Why DT? is it because you do not want to live under TC rule? You may come and go as you wish...no restrictions.

I've had this dscussion wit you many times. I much rather dscuss wth someone who has not closed his ears to all other ways of the 2 communities livng together. In your words you have been let down and have decded the only way to move on is to partition the island.

Isn't this closing your mind to alternative points of view and just talking to people you agree with? Surely you can clearly see that conventional negotiations methods to find a solution are not working. We need radical new brave steps to move forward and imo this would be to create a level playing field, whatever the TCs have the GCs also have and vice verse.

And you have mine so we are trying to find middle ground by allowing people the option to go back and live either in the south or the north. Are you against this?

But the federal level is where we become unstuck in how will the structure be formed, why not leave that until a later date to be decided by the 2 sides at referendum.

What do you think about a time limt as there always seems to be an elecetion somerwhere which does not allow progress. Say eg 2010 if a solution is not found the current division remains and all refugees have the right to go home or sell up.
