EU to end sanctions on North?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

In case you don’t know dear Lena, you do not simply show your passport. You show your passport and they issue you a tourist visa . That tourist visa paper says you can stay there for upto 3 months but YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WORK ANYWHERE.

In other words they are actually forcing you to recognise what they ‘ve done to you, the stealing of your Lands and properties, and your ethnic cleansing.
Unless you have some real good TC friends to meet, who themselves oppose the occupation regime, crossing to the occupied is a disgrace and a waste of time.

My TC friends also don’t like showing an ID, but at least they understand that’s necessary to distinguish them from settlers. Us the GCs undergo a real disgrace, I can hardly swallow it each time I have to do it.

And by the way the same happens to the GCs either they show a passport or an ID. The occupation regime issues a VISA like I described above.

The TCs only show an ID. Not for visa, not for anything.Just to prove they are Cypriots.
Presenting an ID or Drivers Licence to Police officers when asked is obligatory all over the world including RoC... That's a totally different issue.

how many countries you know where you need to show an id?

USA
Turkey
Bulgaria
Romania
shall i continue.....

Far as I know you don't need an ID to drive from one state to another in the US. (unless you look like my mate scott and want to get in a bar).

Why do you have to shown an ID when driving across turkey?

You always have to carry id in turkey as you can be asked for it at anytime if you do not produce you can be fined.

You travel by car train or plane, the point is you have to show id in these countries its not that unusual. You GCs are just doing being pig headed and just think if there is never a solution you will never see the north of as you put it your country, think that's a big loss for you not me.

Vp listen closely....there's a huge difference with being asked for ID so that a policeman may identify you and a with a bunch of guys dressing up as policemen and pretending they're manning a border.

WHen you drive from one place to another in those countres you've mentioned you do not need ID to go from one place to the next. If you are travelling on a domestic flight then you need to show something so as to identify you for the plane...not to allow you to go to that part or not.

You asked me to name you a country where you show id to get from place to another and I did, there is no mentioned or restriction of the transport type.

Do you or dont you show id when travelling by plane from Texas to California? Is the USA classed as one country?

Look I agree with you if you dont want to show your id then dont and therefore stay south where you belong.

VP can you please read what people post before going off on one. Showing ID to pretend you're going inro a different country is different to showing id to identify yourself when boarding a domestic plane. DO YOU SHOW A PASSPORT WHEN DRIVING FROM TEXAS TO CALIFORNIA????

You initial question did not restrict me to method of transport and the bottom line is in the USA you show id when flying within your own country? Let alone a divided island, due to proximity just regard it as an internal flight. You are making excuses for the sake of it but tell you what I have no problems with you sticking to your "principles" and not visiting the North, Well done.
