EU to end sanctions on North?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Here's your list VP:

#1 Bend over: "You mean you are not yet convinced that the conditions and the prospects of a united Cyprus constitute a better deal than the current situation? What else do you want to see, in order to be convinced that indeed this is the case? Do you want to continue living on stolen properties and indefinitely continue to claim being a (non-existent and illegal) state, the present cold war to continue indefinitely, your community to live in isolation and off the side of Turkish subsidies indefinitely,"

#2:Get out: " the Greek Cypriots to indefinitely continue preparing for an attack -in order to liberate their occupied country and until they get the chance to do this one day,"

#3: Say Uncle: "and Turkey to never enter the EU and continue to relegate into a third world pariah country? All these are results and consequences of the non solution and non-unification that will most likely continue to remain in place indefinitely, and can only end up if there is a solution."

And the reasonable conclusion: "Aren’t all these enough reasons to convince you that unification is a better deal for all of us? What is the purpose for me to tell you what compromises do you need to make for the sake of re-unification, if you still maintain the illusion that it is possible for you to eventually manage to have your cake and eat it all ...in this day and age?"

This is Kifeas' solution for reunification. Insults disguised as reasons.

You indeed have an IQ problem, reportfromcyprus, especially if you saw insults in any of the above! A very serious IQ deficiency indeed, that makes it absolutely pointless to try and have any sort of meaningful discussion with you.

in·sult
–verb (used with object) 1. to treat or speak to insolently or with contemptuous rudeness; affront.
2. to affect as an affront; offend or demean.
3. Archaic. to attack; assault.
–verb (used without object) 4. Archaic. to behave with insolent triumph; exult contemptuously (usually fol. by on, upon, or over).
–noun 5. an insolent or contemptuously rude action or remark; affront.
6. something having the effect of an affront: That book is an insult to one's intelligence.

8. Archaic. an attack or assault.

If you can read Kifeas' post and not find the insults, based on the definition above, then I can't explain them, miltiades. It's up to the individual - I for one find that those comments were demeaning and insolent, therefore insulting.

It's like saying, you're a terrible, terrible person whose done 1000 things wrong, but I'm willing to condescend to live with you anyway. As if no one carries any blame except the Turkish Cypriot administration.

The record shows that all parties made mistakes. Now, if there's supposed to be a solution, it's hardly about to come to fruition with that kind of attitude.

To be more specific:

"Turkey to never enter the EU and continue to relegate into a third world pariah country" - Insulting.
"the Greek Cypriots to indefinitely continue preparing for an attack -in order to liberate their occupied country and until they get the chance to do this one day" - Threatening
"your community to live in isolation and off the side of Turkish subsidies indefinitely" - Demeaning.
