The bottom line is we are divided and if we want to unite compromise has to made on both sides, if we do not talk to each other then no roap map will evey appear, the last one was rejected and any new one will have to be accpeted by both sides otherwise stalemate will continue. You will push for your agenda and me for mine.

The question that needs to be answered by you is a.) do you honestly want to unite or is just a slogan and b.) if yes, what compromises are you ready to make from your part as a TC?

Let me put it this way if the conditions for a united Cyprus are such that TCs can see that being united is a better deal than being divided I am 100% certain the north would take that step forward, now when it comes to compromise lets try it this way as previously we were unsucessful, what compromises do you want from the TCs? (Kindly list them)

What do you expect he's going to say VP? Honestly, either you're an optimist to the point of delusion, or you think that he's going to give you a reasonable answer. Either way, you're bound to be disappointed.

Pitsilos I have the figures somewhere.
Just from memory it was from 0.5 billion to 1 billion per year. It was increasing every year as I remember. This money were going to the "government" machine. The costs for the Turkish army is separate.

NB. When I was doing this reasearch I was actually looking for the size of the "government" machine. Beleive me it's huge. The majority of real TCs do "government" job. Too many policemen, too many people doing nothing all day. Not that the RoC government people work harder anyway...

so in the last 32 years turkey tipped anything from US$20billion to US$30 billion.

that would make it 10% to 15% out of the imf borrowings.

i must say turkey really done well on this one. do they electorates in turkey know that the deep state is financing such a big amounts on their expence?

i bet the wouldn't be happy if they new.

and how much does anyone think the bill for security would be?

I have been personally attacked nothing new on this forum so dont pull that card on me, becuase it just wont work. Propaganda to you and the GCs is reality for us, so labelling it propaganda just so as not to have to deal with it doesnt mean it will go away, its will always be there until it is acknowledged and addressed properly.

If you feel this way then just leave us alone in what ever position we choose to be in, do you realize that TCs can go live in the south? The propaganda you feel I put about would not have any impact on anyone who feels the "RoC" can provide them a better life than the one they have today. This is what GCs and you find difficult to understand and digest. If there is nothing on offer that is better than today no one will just up sticks and move south to live in a GC state.

Forget us Bir, continue to live and die in Aussie amongst foreigners and never come back to as you keep saying the non exsistent TRNC, we are not your people.

I can easily forget about you,viewpoint,but I can't forget about my motherland,Cyprus.It is people with your mentality (and your counterparts on the GC side) which has caused me to leave my country at the most critical age of 17,and to live in exile wondering when you will come to your senses and stop this smallminded, nationalistic Turkish and Greek chavinism,so that we can return to our homeland. The answer seems to be never,and i have started detesting people like you and what you stand for:division,bitterness,hatred,injustice,bigotry,revenge and an insatiable greed for onesidedness...

For your information I am very proud of being a Turkish Cypriot,and I have no wish to live in a GC state.I do want to live in a Cyprus free of the hatreds and the bitternesses of the past,as an equal citizen,standing on his own two feet with dignity and self-respect. Is that really so difficult for you to understand?

Without adding insult to injury Bir you are free to do that as VP said. For us there is no choice. You blame us for making this bed and we did nothing of the sort but we will sleep in it. Our choice our fears our destiny.
