The TMT mentality of the 60s for taksim.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Piratis » Wed Jan 24, 2007 6:36 am

If this war is over and you won it, then what is your problem? Why you are crying that you want negotiations, an end to isolation, and all that?

But seriously, do you call what you have in the occupied north as winning? Thats all you are capable of? A pseudo state build by ethnically cleansing the native population? A puppet state of Turkey which you managed to make a perfect shit hole that collects the best of Turkish and other scam and nothing more? Thats total crap compared to what we managed to do.

Then again, Turks have never shown us of being capable of anything better. All they were ever good in was performing ethnic cleansing, genocides and invading the land of others. So maybe by your low standards you consider what you got as victory. Congratulations!

Anyways, since there is no problem for you we can close this discussion now. I will continue enjoying my EU standards of living and civilization, you can continue celebrating your crimes and barbarian acts and live your low Turkish life, when you come begging us for work we might feel pity of you and give you some, and then when the right time will come we will solve our problem by ourselves, since as we agreed already there is no problem for you. However remember that what you will get is what you are asking for. Don't come here crying that GCs don't treat you well and all that, since the treatment you get is the treatment you deserve.

War/Intervention was the culmination of many factors and it was a time bomb that was not defused but exploded, that's over finished, if you feel threatening war is the route you wish to take then go for it but don't expect us to sit idle aggression breeds aggression and you may just end up the losers yet again.

No one is crying, negotiations for TCs are always open and we have shown the world that we are open to unification under a structure rubber stamped by them. People always strive for a life better than the one they have today but if they do not see that moving in a specific direction will enhance their lives but make it worse they will dig their heels and go nowhere its human nature.

But seriously, do you call what you have in the occupied north as winning? Thats all you are capable of? A pseudo state build by ethnically cleansing the native population? What you are finding difficult to understand and accept is that the majority of TCs prefer what we have today even with all its faults which we know there are many in comparison to living in the "RoC" a EU member or we would have crossed south years ago. This has got to be an insult very hard to digest for GCs as this obvious shows that TCs will only unify with GC under condition which they totally reject like the demonized Annan plan which looks like it will come back to haunt GCs forever under different disguises.

Then again, Turks have never shown us of being capable of anything better. All they were ever good in was performing ethnic cleansing, genocides and invading the land of others. So maybe by your low standards you consider what you got as victory. Congratulations!

Thank you, you may make your petty remarks but for people who are content it is water of a ducks back. You really need to address your own attitudes as to whether it encourages a better understanding or automatically puts TCs on the defensive and therefore creates stalemate.

OK I agree, we again know that we are not aloud to come crying to you. Happy now?

The war that started by the invasion of Turkey in 1974 is not over. What we have now is called cease fire. This war will end only when the Turkish troops leave from Cyprus and the sovereignty of Republic of Cyprus is respected.

The only kind of negotiations you accept are about our capitulation, but as I told you thats out of the question. What you should follow instead are the UN resolutions that declare your pseudo state as legally invalid and call for the withdrawal of foreign troops and the respect of the sovereignty of Cyprus. Beyond that, when you decide that you are ready to negotiate within the limits of human rights, democracy and legality, come and tell us. We are always ready for respectful dialog, something that we have never seen from the Turks so far.

It is perfectly clear that there is no more place for "better understanding". We understood you very well. You think you won the war and you expect to gain on our loss and this is why you insist on crimes and illegalities against us. I am in this forum for years, so I don't think there is anything unclear anymore. Why should I waste my time in asking from you things like legality, human rights and democracy, when those issues have been debated to death and you always find some lame excuse to reject them?

If you have anything NEW to say that will be different from what we know and what made us to come to the conclusions we did, please do. Threatening us that if we try to liberate our country we will "lose again" and all that crap is nothing new from you.

Its you that has rejected a solution via a plan rubber stamped by 99% of the world, did this not include legality, human rights and democracy were all those experts and technocrats wrong? and the GCs right? ask yourself this question.

Viewpoint you should take the conviction you show about Cyprus, to any kind of sales markets in EU countries. You'd do quite well. Just let go of the "TRNC", because you know full well that N.Cyprus isn't for sale or legal. The bags are heavy enough, just place them down. Its that simple.

For us TCs its does exist but not as you know it, its only 63% of the island and a GC state, run by Gcs for GCs.

miltiades you are deluding yourselves when you believe that the island is not divided, this has become clearer to world since the referendum and as the status quo continues will become more and more ingrained in everyone's mind. The are 2 entities here one recognized one unrecognized, do you think the world ignores us and goes direct to the GC state on all matters? then think again, only this week did the German MP delegation fly direct to Ercan, these actions will only increase and establish itself as a norm over the coming years. We trade with companies all over the world they know the situation here yet it doesnt not stop us from doing business. The sooner you wake up to these realities the better for everyone. Just because we are unrecognized life does not grind to a halt and wait for the GCs to get their act together, life goes on and will continue until or if a time comes when both sides really want to unite.

It seems you are confusing "the world" with the Turkey/US/UK.

This is what the 99% of the world supports, directly quoted from Annan plan:

5. Should the Foundation Agreement not be approved at the separate
simultaneous referenda, it shall be null and void, and the commitments undertaken in this Comprehensive Settlement shall have no further legal effect.

The day after the referenda, thats the only thing in Annan plan that remains relevant, and that is what everybody (except few) support.

However what is always relevant, which is not a mere proposal, but an obligation are the UN resolution that demand the respect of the sovereignty of Republic of Cyprus and declare the invalidity of the pseudo state in the occupied areas.

So don't tell us that you do what "the world" wants. You don't. You are acting illegally and criminally, while on the other hand we do everything in accordance with international, EU and local laws.
